Why the P4TCA Pro motherboard unable to detect my Seagate 80GB SATA HDD ?
In order to not occupy the system resource, we had set the SATA function as Disabled under CMOS Setup Menu. Please follow below instruction to enable your system SATA function
Power On the system and then press the "Del" key to enter the BIOS Setup Screen
Choice Integrated Peripherals / On Chip IDE Device/ On-Chip Serial ATA
Set "On-Chip Serial ATA" function as Auto.
Press "ESC" key go to Main Setup Menu
Select "Save & Exit Setup" to complete the setting procedure.
I brought Biostar's motherboard and Biostar USB Card Reader. However, when I install the USB Card Reader driver from Driver CD I got a message "Sorry ! Device not found !" . How can I to install the USB Card Reader, perfectly ?
Please follow below Instruction to install the USB Card Reader driver
Insert the CD Driver Into the CDROM
Access the CDROM content
Select DRIVER/CARD_READER
Double Click the Setup.exe file to start the Installation process.
Follow the instruction to finish the installation procedure.
The driver version V1.47B-1R and afterward able to perform Auto Run function. Insert the CD driver and select the USB Card Reader Icon, the system will install the driver automatically. You also can download this driver with following website http://209.240.144.85/support/driver/iccard/iccard.exe
Note : The USB Card Reader Driver Is bundled under WinXP and WinME Operating System. Only Win98SE and Windows 2000 require to install the driver.
How to implement dual-DDR function in M7NCG Motherboard? Which type of DDR Memory should I have to support this function?
To highly perform the Dual-Channel DDR (128-bit), at least 2 or more DIMM modules must be installed and the modules must be the combination of DIMM A and DIMM B. If there is only one DIMM installed, the Memory performs only at 64-bit. Besides, the Dual-DDR function can able to support the Normal DDR, from DDR200/266/333/400
Can my M6TWX/M7VKX series motherboard support the new Windows XP system?
Biostar have updated the entire necessary driver for all devices used on M6TWX series and M7VKX series motherboards. With the latest released updated driver, M6TWX and M7VKX series motherboards are able to support Windows XP system.
Why does the BIOS's function as CPU Shut Down Temperature not work on M7VIF ?
The function just able worked under windows 98/98Se/ME, but it unable to work under windows XP/2000/NT and DOS environemnt.
This is because both of windows 98 and windows ME are using polling way to check the CPU's Temperature per 6 seconds. But, these perating system as windows 2000 & NT & XP are using a Event action to check it.
