Here are the combination for dual display output for TA690G-AM2 motherboard.
You can only use one analog and one digital output at same time.
CRT and TV output cannot use for dual display at same time.

This is motherboard chipset and blue ray DVD's compatible issue. Please try to use other brand's blue ray DVD on TA690G-AM2 to avoid the problem.

Currently VIA P4M900 and P4M890 chipset motherboard will not be able to support NV 8800 VGA card. Its due to hardware support limitation to the Gen II PCI-E VGA card support from the chipset.

LG SATA DVD GSA-H62N has a compatible problem with NV MCP68 chipset. So sometimes the transfter speed will be very slow in IDE mode. It will need to use AHCI mode for support the DVD ROM properly.

1. Disable the Cool n Quite function in BIOS.

CMOS > Advanced bios feature > CPU feature > AMD K8 cool & Quiet control > Disable

2. Set the FID in CMOS.

3. Remove AMD Athlon 64 driver in Windows to make OC work properly if it installed.

4. Check by CPU-Z or other CPU monitor utility to verify the result.

Please follow the procedure. 1. Press Del key to go to CMOS in POST screen. 2. Choose Load optimized default BIOS setting 3. Save and exit the BIOS After system restart, it will recognize CPU at proper speed.

Currently only P4M900 chipset motherboard's on-board VGA will support Vista Basic version. Other VIA on-board VGA will not be able to support Vista. You will need to install an AGP or PCI-E VGA card support DirectX 9 to support Vista's basic function. If need to support Vista Aero in Premium version, it requires DirectX 9, Pixel Shader 2.0, and 128 MB VGA card memory to support Aero function.

This is because of Windows SID protection. Windows will fail to boot and lock system due to the hardware ID changed. You will need to re-install the Windows XP after major componts upgrade, such like motherboard upgrade. Please back up all your important data with old motherboard and devices before install the OS again.
