Default BIOS setting for SATA port will set to IDE compatible mode. For using Ubuntu to install OS, it will need to set to AHCI mode. Then SATA DVD drive can be recognize by Ubuntu. Please press Delete key to go BIOS> Advanced> SATA Mode> AHCI mode, then press F4 key Save and exit the BIOS setting. It will help system to recognize SATA DVD drive properly during OS installation.
