Motherboard's Smartfan function will only support 4 Pin CPU fan.
3 Pin CPU fan will not be supported due to hardware support limitation.

For setting the Smartfan function by using 4 Pin CPU fan.
Press Delete key in POST screen to go to CMOS > Advanced > Smart Fan Configuration
Set CPU Smart Fan to Auto.
Due to each CPU fan has it's own characteristic, user can let BIOS to detect the best setting for the CPU fan.
Run Smart Fan Calibration, it will detect and provide Fan Ctrl Start value and Fan Ctrl Sensitive for user to put in manual mode.
User can define their own setting as well.
Also user can use Quiet or Performance in Control Mode by BIOS preset fan control function for quick setting.
