Most of DDR2 1066 memory need to over-voltage and set the memory timing in BIOS.

Please follow procedure for proper memory settings.

(1)Check your memory volage.
--> Every different memory has different original voltage value demand,please check your memory first.
For example:
This memory demand volatge is 2.2V~2.4V

(2)Set your memory voltage in BIOS.
CMOS / T-Series / OverClock Navigator [Manual OverClock] / Voltage Configuration / Memory Over Voltage [Please set the memory demand voltage].
--> For example,this memory voltage follow its demand to set it to 2.2V~2.4V

(3)Set memory clock in BIOS.
CMOS / T-Series / OverClock Navigator [Manual OverClock] / DRAM Timing Configuration / Memory Clock Mode [Manual] / Memclock Value [Please set to DDR2-1066]

(4)BIOS [Save Changes & Exit]
Memory clock will run DDR2-1066 speed.

POST screen can verify the DDR2 speed.

ATI motherboard can only use HDMI® or DVI port one at a time.
Because chipset will support one digital and one analog display by design.

Also DVI cannot use adaptor to connect D-Sub monitor.
It need to use monitor or TV with DVI in put cable.
Which means it will only spport digital display for the motherboard's DVI header.

Please install all the driver from driver CD in the motherboard package.

It will make the devices work properly in Windows system.

1. For the Award BIOS, it will detect floppy disk while system boot up.

If there is no floppy disk on the system, it will show warning message in POST screen.

You can press Delete key in POST screen, then go to CMOS> Standard CMOS Features> Drive A> set to None.

Save the setting for CMOS or press F10 to save it.

After system reboot, the warning message will cleared.

2. CMOS checksum error might show up when first time install CPU or clear system CMOS.

Please press Delete key to go to CMOS, then load optimized default setting for the BIOS and press F10 to save the setting.

After system reboot, the warning message will cleared.

This problem might caused by the CPU over-heat protection in motherboard.

Motherboard will automatically shut down the system power when CPU temperature is too high.

You might try to remove all components and unplug all the power cable, then install them again.

System should boot up properly with this procedure.

Please double check CPU cooler has proper amount of thermal grease and locked properly on the motherboard base or socket.

Normal CPU temperature should be lower than 50 degress.

It can be check in CMOS's hardware monitor.

The Smartfan control for CPU fan (JCFAN1) connecter will only support 4 pin fan.

If use 3 pin CPU fan, the fan speed will run at maximum speed.

Because the 4th pin is for CPU fan speed's control feedback.

System fan (JNFAN1) will be able to support 3 pin fan for Smartfan control.

Motherboard with 2Mb BIOS EPROM will be able to support large capacity hard disks.

However, not all the motherboard will be able to support SATA2 hard disks.

Please refer the user manual or manufacture's website for the hard drive's jumper setting to make hard disk support SATA1 mode. Then motherboard will be able to detect it properly.

Please refer the ATI's list of VGA card model which can support Hybrid CrossfireX.

HD4350 is not the Hybrid CrossfireX supported model.

However, it will be able to support CrossfireX by using two HD4350 VGA cards.

1GB and 2GB memory combination will still work for the Dual Channel memory model on G31-M7 motherboard.

However, the DDR speed will lower to 667 MHz by chipset defaul setting.

Normally, motherboard BIOS will detect VGA card and disable on-board VGA automatically.

However, you can still manually disable it in BIOS.

1. Press Delete key in POST screen to go to CMOS

2. Go to Chipset> Internal Graphics Ocnnfiguration> Internal Graphics Mode> Disable

3. Save and exit the CMOS setting

It will disable on-board graphic for the motherboard after restart.
