I can't find RAID setting from BIOS. How may I set up RAID function for Z270GT4/6/8/9 ?

1. Please press del at POST screen to get into BIOS, go to CMOS > SATA And RST Configuration > SATA Mode Selection > Select [Intel RST Premiun].

2. Save & Exit

3. After BIOS system reboot, please press [Ctrl] +[ I ] hot key at POST screen to setup RAID.

I am using Racing series motherboard and can not get POST what should I do?

1. If your Motherboard is included in following list you can follow the instruction to restore BIOS. (Z270GT9, Z270GT8, Z270GT6, Z270GT4, B250GT5, B250GT3, Z170GT7, H170GT3, B150ET3, B150GT3, B150GT5, )
2. Remove power cord from your PSU

3. Switch to the backup BIOS ROM using onboard BIOS switch

4. Reconnect power cord and boot up with backup BIOS ROM

How to restore a damaged BIOS ROM
1. Download the BIOS file from www.biostar.com.tw for the proper motherboard model.
2. Copy the BIOS file to a USB pen.
3. Power on motherboard with the undamaged BIOS ROM and press [F12] key during POST screen.
4. After POST screen, BIOS-FLASHER utility will pop out.
5. Switch to the damaged BIOS ROM using onboard BIOS switch.
6. Choose [fs0] to search for BIOS file.

7. Choose BIOS file from the USB flash (pen) drive, then press [Y] key to start BIOS update.

8. Press [Y] key to restart system after BIOS flash complete.

9. Finished.

Why can't i use USB device(Pen driver/ DVDROM) to install Windows 7 on J3160NH?

Answer: This is because Braswell platform(J3160NH) only has USB 3.0 port and also Windows 7 OS CD doesn't bundle USB 3.0 driver.

You may follow below process to create Windows 7 OS image with USB 3.0 driver.

1. Download Windows tool from below link and unzip to a temporary folder on your system.

2. Connect the USB pen drive to the your system.

3. Right-click the file WindowsTool.exe and select Run as Administrator.

4. Choose the Source Path of the Windows 7 image file. From ISO file or DVD ROM.

5. Choose your USB Disk Volume and press "Start"to begin the creation process.

6. Wait for the process to finish. It might take up to 20 minutes.

7. Use the USB pen drive to install OS.

My TA970 Plus system's USB 3.0 port does not function properly, how do I check it?

Please follow the instruction here to check the USB 3.0 function on TA970 Plus.

1. Go to BIOS and load optimized default setting, then save and exit BIOS.

2. Boot to OS and re-install USB 3.0 driver from our website download page.

Windows 8 or 10 does not need to install USB 3.0 driver.

3. Open Device Manager and check USB device, see if there is an ASMedia USB 3.0 device.

If you don't see the ASMedia USB 3.0 in device manager, then the USB 3.0 controller might be damaged.

Please contact local shop or local dealer help you to double check it.

My Hi-Fi B85Z5's USB 3.0 port will not be able to recognize the USB keyboard after system boot to OS, it will need to unplug the USB keyboard again to recognize it. How can I resolve it?

Please try to find the XHCI function in BIOS>Chipset>SouthBridge>USB Configuration>XHCI mode, then set it to [Auto]. After next reboot, system should be able to recognize the USB keyboard properly.

My GAMING Z170X system does not run Turbo Boost mode after update latest BIOS, what can I do to fix it?

Please go to BIOS> O.N.E> CPU Power Management> CPU C States, and set to [Enable].

Save and exit the BIOS setting, then reboot the system.

CPU will be able to run Turbo Boost mode if CPU support this function.

My Samsung SM951 NVMe drive's transfer speed is low on H170/Z170 board, is there any help can do?

When use Windows standard driver for Samsung SM951 NVMe drive, transfer speed will not run at it's best performance.

Please download the driver from the link below, and go to Device Manager> Samsung NVMe Controller to update the driver.

Can I use Samsung SM951 SSD on GAMING Z170X motherboard?

Please update to latest BIOS Z17AF916.BST BIOS.

This BIOS will support Samsung SM951 SSD automatically.

Will Biostar VN7303THX1 VGA card support 3 display?

Due to specification limitation, VN7303THX1 VGA card will only support 2 display at same time.

When I use CPUZ to test GAMING Z170X motherboard, why is CPU voltage too high?

This is an known issue for 3rd party's hardware monitor to show incorrect CPU voltage with GAMING Z170X motherboard.

This is due to 3rd party's hardware monitor cannot get the proper voltage reading from our IO.

Please use Biostar TOverclocker utility to test, it will show correct CPU voltage.
