Why system will not boot up properly after BIOS update when running in F6 mode?

When system running with F6 unlocKING function, it might cause kernel problem during BIOS update. Please load optimized default setting for CMOS before update new BIOS.

Why my TH55XE motherboard has error message when install VGA driver?

For Intel H55 chipset under Windows XP OS

There will be an error message during VGA driver installaion if don't install Microsoft .NET Framework
You could press "Yes" to continue the VGA driver installation process.

After driver installation, when openning Intel VGA utility, there will be a notice for Microsoft .NET Framework.

We suggest to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 for fully support VGA driver's functions.

How to install HDMI® audio driver on G41D3 motherboard when use Windows XP SP2?

If use Windows XP SP3, it will support HDMI® audio device by build-in driver.

However, Windows XP SP2 does not have build in HDMI® audio driver, so it will need to install driver manually for support HDMI® audio device.

1. After OS installation, insert driver CD for auto install all the drivers.

Next reboot, check Windows Device Manager will see the uninstall device.

2. Insert driver CD again and select Manual function, then install VGA driver again.

3. Windows SP2 should be recognize the Intel HDMI® audio device properly after driver install.

How to enable GEN II mode for my motherboard?

Press Delete key in POST to go to CMOS.

Chipset>NB configuration>PCI Express Configuration>NB-SB Port Features>Port #02 Features>GEN2 Hi speed mode.

Set it to Auto, then Save and exit the BIOS setting.

Where can I get the Windows 7 installation including an USB driver ?

For the older models, that don't have Windows 7 driver due to chipset manufacturers support limitation.

However, Windows 7 will support most of them by using default drivers in OS.

If there is any problem after installing Windows 7, please use the E-Support to ask for the help.

Why ATI motherboard have noise on Vista SP2 when use HDMI® output?

This problem was caused by the Vista SP2 version.

Vista will force to enable AC3 output support.

If HDMI® device does not support AC3 audio, then the noice will appear.

Please refer the Microsoft's document for more information.

How to connect audio output through SPDIF?

To understand how SPDIF work, please refer following link for detail.

To connect the audio output through SPFID, please follow the instructions.

1. Connect a SPDIF bracket cable (coaxial+optical mixed) into MB SPDIF OUT connector.
This bracket must with "signal transfer controller", or cable need purchase from Biostar dealer.

2. Check the SPDIF Bracket optical LED must be light-up.

If not, try to install the audio driver again from driver CD.

3. Speaker connect to H/W Digital Decoder.

4. Connect SPFID with coaxial cable.

Digital decorder select coaxial function.

Use a coaxial cable from bracket coaxial connector to digital decoder coaxial connector.

5. Connect SPDIF with Optical cable.

Use optical cable from bracket to digital decoder's optical connector

If there is no sound output, try to double check audio driver's utility is select for SPDIF/Digital output.

How can I set Smart Fan function for P43-A7 motherboard?

Motherboard's Smartfan function will only support 4 Pin CPU fan.
3 Pin CPU fan will not be supported due to hardware support limitation.

For setting the Smartfan function by using 4 Pin CPU fan.
Press Delete key in POST screen to go to CMOS > Advanced > Smart Fan Configuration
Set CPU Smart Fan to Auto.
Due to each CPU fan has it's own characteristic, user can let BIOS to detect the best setting for the CPU fan.
Run Smart Fan Calibration, it will detect and provide Fan Ctrl Start value and Fan Ctrl Sensitive for user to put in manual mode.
User can define their own setting as well.
Also user can use Quiet or Performance in Control Mode by BIOS preset fan control function for quick setting.

Why it cannot run 3DMark06 with ATI on-board graphinc motherboard or ATI VGA card?

This problem was caused by 3DMark's hardware detection bug.
Please add following command in 3DMark06's short cut for resolve it.
-nosysteminfo
