Biostar has to design a new technology to protect your AMD XP CPU. Our name as CPU Savior. The AMD latest XP CPU has been integrated a function to provide CPU working temperature. We had to put an IC to detect the current AMD XP CPU temperature, then report to system PWM IC and turn off your system. That mean if your AMD XP CPU current temperature was detected higher, then the CPU allow limit by your CPU FAN stop to run or that's a Gap between CPU and Heatsink, your system will shut down, automatically.

Note!K You must clear your system CMOS before to turn on your system, again. Also, the new CPU Savior technology just to depend on AMD XP CPU, only. In early stage, the AMD Athlon and Duron which are not support this function. Last, let us to summarize this work procedure as below.

1. AMD XP CPU Temperature is reached the limit.
2. System will shut down, automatically.
3. Clear CMOS.
4. Make sure the CPU ran is working properly, the contact area between CPU and the heatsink is evenly.
5. Turn On your computer.

Both of USB 2.0 and I1394 are increased system transfer speed for external devices. Now, let us to explain these Spec. for USB 2.0 and I1394 as below:

1. USB 2.0:
   A core team from Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Lucent, Microsoft, NEC and Philips is leading the development of the USB Spec. For Example: An external USB 2.0 hub has an input rate of 480Mb/s and output rates of 480Mb/s for attached high speed USB 2.0 peripherals. This backwards-compatible extension of the USB 1.1 Spec. Uses the same cables, connectors and software interfaces so the user will see no change in the usage model. In Biostar, most of motherboards able to support this function, such as P4TPT, P4TDQ P4TGV!K.
2. I1394:
   IEEE STD 1394-1995, Standard for a High Performance Serial Bus, defines facilities in the cable environment for the distribution of power to connected devices. For Example: An external I1394 hub able to provide 400Mb/s for attached high-speed I1394 peripherals. In Biostar product, you can find 10 Pins Red Header on motherboard.

Intel's Hyper-Threading (HT) Technology is an essential element of Intel's strategy to successfully ramp performance, control power consumption, and manage heat dissipation into the coming decades. In its current implementation, HT Technology delivers two logical processors that can execute different tasks simultaneously using shared hardware resources. Of course, the new technology must be used with BIOS and Microsoft New Operating System as Windows XP. The pervious O/S as 98SE, ME and 2000 those are unable to support this function. Also, Intel has release new 3.06GHz or above CPU which able supported this function. The mean that you are need to use the Intel 3.06GHz, supported BIOS and Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

Please follow below instruction to adjusted the audio to 6 channel

1. Install the C-Media driver & application that had been bundle in BIOSTAR Driver CD.
2. Select "Start" at Windows Screen
3. Select "Program"
4. Select "PCI Audio Application"
5. Select "Audio Rack"
6. Select "Mixer"
7. Press the "Hammer tools" icon, at bottom of left-hand side.
8. You could be able to setup the Audio Channel at here.

Below are the lists of the BIOSTAR Motherboard support AMD Athlon XP CPU with FSB 166Mhz.
The M7VIP with version 1.1,M7VIK and M7VIT.

The Intel 845G Chipset enhanced performance for Pentium 4 Processor in a MPGA 478-pin package. With this chipset consists the 82845G Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH), is support both 400 Mhz Front Side Bus (100Mhz Bus Clock) and 533 Mhz Front Side Bus (133 Mhz Bus Clock) , with DDR 266/200 memory and the new integrated Intel Extreme Graphics architecture.

The Intel 845G Chipset are able to hold up two DDR DIMMs with 200Mhz and 266Mhz of 184pin DDR memory. And provide the 2.1GB bandwidth to power through the most demanding multimedia games and applications. Also for Intel 845G Chipset, it able to support single-sided or/and double-sided DDR memory, however it does not support double-sided X 16 DDR memory.

Please click the start button from tools bar, then follow the instruction as below to modify the Audio mode.
-> Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> CMI Audio Config -> Speakers -> Change from 2 channel to 4 channel.
By the way, the Line in port (blue color) where is on your parallel port that it will be became another line out port as same as the original line out port (Green Color). Our motherboards as M7TDK & M7TDQ able supported this 4 channel audio function.

These motherboards as M7VKS & M7VKQ & M7VKG& M7VKD & M7VIF & M7VIB are able supported the AMD New Mode 18 with .13u CPU.

M7SXF, M7SXD and M7VIF. However, due to Chipset limitation the M7SXF only able to support 2 pieces of DDR333 memory. These three models are the first few models, which are able to support DDR333 memory in the world.
